Whitman Studios and Roy Chamberlain completed a bioregional Green Map to commemorate the county's March 1998 bicentennial. It fills 26 GIS-style pages! The topics mapped include: generalized geology, glacial topography, soils, hydrology, climate, flora, fauna, ecosystems, first nations, European colonization, demographic trends, land use, transportation, food, energy, solid waste, environmental degradation, protected areas, political administration and culture! In 1997, they conducted workshops for scout and 4-H leaders, teachers, historians and the general public on how to teach their respective groups about bioregional mapping
